Artwork Guidelines

Everything you need to know to prepare your artwork files for perfect DTF and UV DTF printing. Follow these guidelines to avoid delays and get the best results.

Artwork FAQ

Quick Checklist — Before You Upload

  • File is 300 DPI or higher at print size
  • Colour space is RGB (not CMYK)
  • Background is transparent (PNG) for dark garments
  • File size is under 50MB
  • Format is PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, SVG, or EPS
  • Text is outlined / flattened (no live text in AI/PDF)

Resolution (DPI)

Minimum: 300 DPI at your intended print size. Lower resolution = visible pixelation on the final transfer.

Colour Space

Always use RGB. CMYK files are automatically converted, which may cause slight colour shifts. For colour-critical work, submit RGB files.

  • RGB — recommended. Use in Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Canva.
  • CMYK — converted automatically. May affect neon, metallic, or Pantone colours.

Accepted File Formats

PNG

Preferred

Supports transparent background. Lossless quality. Best for dark garments and complex designs.

AI / PDF / SVG / EPS

Vector — best quality

Resolution-independent. Always prints at maximum quality regardless of file size. Outline all text.

JPG

Accepted

No transparency support. White areas will print as white. Good for light garments or designs without cut edges.

Do This

  • Use PNG with transparent background for designs going on dark garments
  • Outline all fonts in vector files before saving
  • Work in RGB colour mode in your design software
  • Submit files at 300 DPI at the actual size you want printed
  • Preview your file with a dark background before uploading

Avoid This

  • White backgrounds on designs intended for dark garments (causes white rectangle)
  • Uploading a 72 DPI screenshot or social media image
  • Live text (unoutlined) in AI or PDF — fonts may substitute
  • Very thin strokes under 1pt — may not render at small sizes
  • Upscaling low-res art in Photoshop — it does not add real detail
